About Rishikesh
Rishikesh is a tehsil in Dehradun district of the Indian state, Uttarakhand, municipal council as well as a city. Situated in northern India in the foothills of the Himalayas, it’s called The Gateway of the Planet. Rishikesh is encircled by three other districts specifically Pauri Garhwal, Tehri Garhwal and Haridwar. It’s situated about 25 kilometers north of the city Haridwar and 43 kilometers southeast of the state capital Dehradun.
It’s called the pilgrimage town and regarded as among the most holy spots to Hindus. Hindu sages and saints and Rishikesh have seen to meditate in search of higher knowledge.
Several legendary narratives related to this particular area are stated by the history of Rishikesh. It was here in Rishikesh a well-known saint named Raibhya Rishi performed penance on the banks of the river Ganga.As a benefit for his powerful penance God Vishnu appeared to him in the shape of Hrishikesh and hence the area was attributed by the name Hrishikesh which afterwards became well-known from the name of Rishikesh.God Rama’s younger brother Bharat himself has performed heavy penance here; that’s the reason why even now there stands the Bharat temple after his name. Yet Rishikesh became a spiritual pilgrimage area that was known just in the 9th century AD who was among the well-known religious leaders of modern times following the visit. Yet there’s an alternative variation which says the name Rishikesh comes in the word Hrishikesh, is just another name of Lord Vishnu.
By Air
Jolly grant is the closest airport to the town situated in the capital town. Flights run thrice in week – Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday from the capital city Delhi to Dehradun. In the grant that is jolly buses and airport taxis are often available which will take you to Rishikesh. Should you employ a taxi, you’ll be charged around Rs. 300.
By Train
Rishikesh has great railway connectivity with a majority of the Indian cities. One can approach the closest railway station approximately at a space of 24 kilo meter from Haridwar.
From the railway station, take a bus or hire a cab to visit Rishikesh.

By Bus
It is handiest and very easy solution to reach Rishikesh. Buses and cabs in the nearby towns like Delhi, Haridwar and Dehradun are accessible to arrive in Rishikesh. Regular buses and taxis also run in the town Haridwar that is sacred. Tourist from Chandigarh, Manali, Shimla and Agra can also reach Haridwar to go to Rishikesh.

Day 01: Delhi - Rishikesh
Morning pick up from Delhi and depart for Rishikesh by road. Arrive in the Rishikesh and transferred to the Camp. After check in Hotel have Lunch, explore camp area and enjoy the camp games like volleyball, badminton etc. Evening enjoy lite snack with bonfire. Have dinner, overnight at GVA Camp.
Day 02: Visit Haridwar
Morning after breakfast procced River Rafting 16kms Shivpuri to Rishikesh NIM Beach. After Rafting Lunch in Rishikesh. After lunch arrive haridwar and transferred to the hotel. Evening visit Har-ki-Pauri to view the holy Ganges Aarti. Return to Hotel, have dinner. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Haridwar - Delhi
After breakfast check out the hotel. Visit the Popular temples in Haridwar Uttarakhand. Covering the Mansa Devi Temple, Chandi Devi, Daksha Mahadev Temple, Maya Devi, Bhimgoda Tank, Pawan Dham, Bharat Mata Temple. On arrival at Delhi, proceed to airport/ railway station for onward journey Tour End.
