Rudragaira
Rudugaira (14,400 ft) also known as Rudragaira, located 9 KM SW of Gangotri in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India, is a valley dedicated to Lord Shiva. Dominating the Rudra valley, are peaks of the Gangotri group. This valley is an exciting destination for trekkers and mountaineers, as well as nature lovers and serves as the Base Camp for several treks and expeditions like Gangotri Peaks, Auden’s Col, etc. The Rudugaira peak, perched at an altitude of around 19,000 ft above sea level is noted for its scenic beauty. By Air:
There are no regular flights from other major cities of the country to Uttarkashi. Nearest airport is Dehra Dun Airport..
By Train:
Uttarkashi does not have an train station. Nearest option is Dehradun.
By Bus:
You can easily get regular buses to Uttarkashi from other major cities of the country.
Gangotri : Trekkers stay in Gangotri for acclimatization, and to visit the temple of Holy Ganges. We head for a short trekking to the Gaumukh route. On this route you can take a view of Sudarshan Peak.
Nala Camp : Trek goes from Gangotri to Nala Camp (Height approx 3640mtr). It is pretty difficult 7kms long narrow path.Trekkers do camping here on the first day of Expedition.
Rudragaira Base Camp : On the Second day trekkers headed for the Base camp (approx 3900mtr). During the trekking to the Base Camp trekkers can encounter green meadows having the beautiful flowers of different species, Ibex (Mountain Goat), and high altitude crow.
From the base camp one route also takes you to the Auden’s Col pass (high altitude trek).
Load Ferry : This day we move from base camp to Summit Camp for Load ferry.
Peak Summit : Next Day we move early in the morning around 5 or 6 o’clock for the Peak Summit. And then within 4 hours peak can be summit

Duration : 8 Nights / 9 Days
Day 1: Arrival In Gangotri
First day we head start from Dehradun to Gangotri (10 hours journey) and evening spends in hotel.
Day2: In Gangotri
Next day too, trekkers stay in Gangotri for acclimatization, and to visit the temple of Holy Ganges. We head for a short trekking to the Gaumukh route. On this route you can take a view of Sudarshan Peak.
Day3 : Stay In Nala Camp
Trek goes from Gangotri to Nala Camp (Height approx 3640mtr). It is pretty difficult 7kms long narrow path.Trekkers do camping here on the first day of Expedition.
Day4 : Stay In Rudragaira Base Camp
On the Second day trekkers headed for the Base camp (approx 3900mtr). From the base camp one route also takes you to the Auden’s Col pass (high altitude trek).
Day5 : In Base Camp
This day trekkers stay for acclimatization too. From Base camp we move to Summit Camp for Load ferry (to supply the ration and mountaineering equipments) for two days stay. Then after reaching back to base camp we begin for the Summit Camp on the next day. From this place the view of all three Jogin peaks, as well as Auden’s Col pass route.
Day6 : For Load Ferry
This day we move from base camp to Summit Camp for Load ferry.
Day7 : In The Base
The next day we shifted to the summit camp from the base camp. It takes 2 and half hours journey time. There we plan for the climate and weather and plan for the further program. From summit camp the view of Gangotri-1, Gangotri-2, Gangotri-3 peaks can be easily taken.
Day8 : Is For Peak Summit
Next Day we move early in the morning around 5 or 6 o’clock for the Peak Summit. And then within 4 hours peak can be summit.
Day9 : Back To Base Camp
This is the time to celebrate at the Rudragaira Base camp after the summiting the Rudragaira peak successfully.
